XBian 1.0 Beta 1.1, hotfix for XBian 1.0 Beta 1
XBian 1.0 Beta 1 has some issues. This was due to the massive changes in XBian 1.0 Beta 1. XBian 1.0 Beta 1.1 fixes all critical issues people encountered in XBian 1.0 Beta 1. Read more after the break!
- Bumped kernel to 3.9.8
- Fixed out of memory issues
- Fixed bootorder issues
- Fixed xbian-config-shell layout issue
- Fixed mounting of network shares
- Fixed failure of some IR remotes
- Fixed and issue where USB HDD’s where not recognized
- Fixed an issue where pictures in XBMC did not display
- Fixed some xbian-config bugs
How to get it?
You can install XBian 1.0 Beta 1.1 using our installers or you can upgrade from XBian 1.0 Alpha 5/Beta 1.

SSH into XBian and execute the following commands (how to SSH in.
service xbmc stop
apt-get -u -o APT::Force-LoopBreak=1 install xbian-update
You will be prompted to type: Yes, do as I say! Do this and press enter
After some time a blue screen will apear, select “Guess optimal character set” & press enter
Upgrading from XBian 1.0 Beta 1
SSH into XBian and execute the following commands (how to SSH in).
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xbian-update -y
